Eleven of us showed up at the trailhead by 8am, and by 11 we'd filled nine trash bags and pulled a truck bed's worth of black mustard out of the switchbacks. Thank you to everyone who came out — gloves, tools, and good humor included.

A few highlights: we found (and safely removed) an old car battery someone had dumped near the second creek crossing, cleared a fallen branch blocking the lower trail, and spotted fresh coyote tracks in the mud by the spring. The trail is in great shape heading into the fall.

Our next work party is the first Saturday of next month, 8–11am at the trailhead. No experience needed — we'll have extra gloves and tools, and kids are welcome with an adult. Hope to see you there.
