What We Heard at the ASNC Local Issues Meeting

A few of us went to this month's Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council local issues meeting to represent the canyon. Two things came up that are worth flagging for the group.

First, there's been an uptick in illegal dumping near the lower access road — construction debris, mostly. ASNC is looking into additional signage and possibly a camera, and asked us to keep photographing and reporting incidents through the city's MyLA311 app so there's a paper trail.

Second, LA's Department of Recreation and Parks confirmed they're evaluating drainage repairs near the trailhead for next fiscal year, which should help with the erosion we've been patching by hand. Nothing is funded yet, but the council agreed to send a letter of support, which matters for prioritization.
