About Us

Friends of Moon Canyon is an all-volunteer group of neighbors who care for the canyon's trails, native plants, and wildlife. We organize monthly work parties, native plant restoration, and community walks — and we work alongside the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council and LA's Department of Recreation and Parks to keep the canyon healthy for the next generation.

Our Mission
To restore Moon Canyon to its original condition with the goals of promoting fire resistance and water management, in collaboration with the community.
